Controller and contact details
eLand, Lda., at Rua Carlos Charbel, 39A, Loja, Cacém, Portugal, is the controller responsible for the personal data processing described in this policy.
For privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, use the email address on the Terms and Conditions page or write to the postal address above.
Data we process
When you use the form, we process your name, email address and message, as well as your company and area of interest if you provide them. We record the date of receipt, a request identifier and confirmation that you have read the versions of the documents presented. For email enquiries, we also process the content and technical data associated with the correspondence.
Browsing the site may generate technical data needed for hosting and security, such as your IP address, browser information, requested resources and access or error logs.
Contacting us is voluntary. Your name, email, message and confirmation of the documents are required to submit the form. Without them, it cannot be submitted. Company and area of interest are optional. Do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents or sensitive information.
Purposes and legal bases
We use the data to respond to enquiries, assess expressions of interest and follow up on possible negotiations concerning Sports.pt. Where an enquiry is made to prepare a contract with the individual themselves, the necessary processing is based on steps taken at that person’s request before entering into a contract. For contacts representing companies, it is based on the legitimate interest in managing business communications and negotiations, taking the individuals’ rights into account.
Technical data is used to provide the site, prevent misuse and resolve incidents, based on the legitimate interest in maintaining its operation and security. Documentation required by law is processed to meet those obligations.
Confirmation of the documents records that you have read them and accepted the Terms; it is not consent to marketing or a general legal basis for all processing. It does not subscribe you to promotional communications. We do not use advertising or audience analytics cookies.
Recipients and hosting
The data is intended for authorised people at eLand who handle your enquiry. It may also be processed by hosting, email and technical support providers, advisers needed for the negotiation, or bodies to which disclosure is required by law, only as necessary for the relevant purpose.
The site and the function that processes the form use Netlify infrastructure. Messages are forwarded through an authenticated connection to the operator’s own email server. Contact by email is also available; in that case, the message is sent using the visitor’s chosen email application.
Netlify infrastructure may involve processing outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. The provider’s data processing agreement provides mechanisms for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses. You can consult that agreement or ask eLand for information about the recipients and safeguards applicable to the processing of your data.
Data retention
Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to respond to the enquiry and follow up on negotiations. This period is determined by the status of the enquiry, whether negotiations are ongoing and the need for clarification or follow-up. When no longer needed, it is deleted unless retention is required by law or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
If a contract is concluded, relevant documentation is retained during its performance and for the applicable statutory periods. Retention for the defence of legal claims is limited to the data and period needed for that purpose.
The retention of technical logs is determined by the need to detect, investigate and resolve faults or security incidents. The data is no longer retained once that purpose has been fulfilled, unless required by law. The privacy preference stored in your browser lasts for 180 days, as described in the Cookie Policy.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions and limits set by law, you may request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You may exercise your rights by email or post. If necessary, we will request only proportionate information to confirm your identity and the legitimacy of your request. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
Automated decisions
We do not use solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects to assess expressions of interest. Enquiries and proposals are reviewed by people.
